What is it that makes a beautiful space? What do you love and enJOY? For me, it’s anything which brings me Visual Pleasure, or a grin to my whole body (I’ve got a set of 3 small soapstone hippos and every time I look at them they make me smile!). For You, it might be a minimalist look with pops of greenery or items which represent comfortable luxury.

This month, tap into what your gorgeousness is and immerse yourself in it wherever possible.

Week 1 August 1-7: Support Team

  • Creating Gorgeousness is often preceded by Clutter Clearing. Who is it that can help you with your clearing? Some examples: a Cleaning Company; a recommended Rubbish Removalist; a friend who can be a sounding board.
  • Get Organised. There are great tips to be found at Simplify You!
  • Cleanse and clear the physical and energetic space around you.

Week 2 August 8-14: JOY Essence

  • Assess: does your space reflect your JOY?
  • Make a list of all the things you LOVE. How many of those things can you include in your space?
  • Personal Gorgeousness. What do you LOVE wearing? What do you use that makes you feel gorgeous? Some examples: high heels or sparkly flats; silky body lotion; expensive perfume; lacy lingerie.

Week 3 August 15- 21: Be Curious … About Everything!

  • Make time for exploring or reinventing your style. Time poor? Check out Katie Jefcoat’s Intentional Margins concept for some fabulous ways to create space in your schedule.
  • Is there anything you can update or refresh, in your space, which will bring a greater or deeper connection to JOYful Gorgeousness?
  • Feng Shui ~ how can you use your space most effectively?

Week 4 August 22-28: I am AMAZING!

  • Are you actually surrounded by gorgeous things? Celebrate You!
  • Check in with your heart and gut. Does your space feel Gorgeous? What areas still need ‘tweaking’?
  • How can you Feed the Energy of Gorgeousness, going forward?

Wrap up the month with a list of actions you can take that will refresh the gorgeousness energy each month. For example, do a cleanse and clear at the beginning of a new month or on the new moon; buy fresh flowers each week. You can also consider “Travel Gorgeousness”: what can you take with you, when you work in a different space or are out and about? Little things like a pretty KeepCup (reusable cup) or scented soap leaves or crystals or a miniature “hippo”-equivalent.
